SinapticaMED is the line of products related to the most commonly known eHealth field. eHealth is the use of information technology systems and telecommunications in the medical field in order to increase efficacy, efficiency and equity of access to clinical services. eHealth application possibilities are many and keep on a continuous evolution trend. TELEMEDICINE Telemedicine includes all transmission services and data elaboration that allow monitoring, clinical or psychological therapies without a mandatory physical presence of patients and physicians. According to the World Health Organization (1997) telemedicine can be defined as: “the delivery of healthcare services, where distance is a critical factor”.
A second fundamental feature of telemedicine, related to electronic data accessibility, has been underlined by a commission of experts from the European Union committee that has defined telemedicine as “systems that allow a fast access to experts consulting and to patients’ data, regardless of where patient or data are” (AIM1990).

EBM - EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE The so-called Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) is based on systems that can provide “The integration of best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values” ("How to practice and teach EBM" Sackett D. 2000) used to improve the decision process that affects patients. A health professional that uses eHealth solutions can check that his diagnosis is coherent with previous scientific research or can even export his own patients’ data to be analyzed in observational trials.

VIRTUAL TEAM Virtual teams are groups of healthcare professionals that communicate and collaborate between them, sharing patients data thanks to digital devices.
